Equipment maintenance and possible cannon netting
for summering waders.  AGM during the weekend.
July 13–15 Friday to  Sunday Autumn Passage
Assemble Friday evening – volunteers also needed to recce on Friday morning tide;   One team, aiming to cannon net passage Sanderling and Curlew.
August 11–16 Saturday to Thursday Autumn Passage
Assemble Saturday daytime – volunteers also needed to recce on Saturday morning tide.
First catching expected to be Sunday morning.
Various opportunities for cannon netting, mist netting and colour-ring resighting throughout week.
It is not expected that a catching attempt will be made on every tide.
Last catch mist netting Thursday evening; Departure Friday.
September 7–15 Friday to  Saturday Autumn Passage
Assemble Friday afternoon for those people mist netting at Gedney or doing recces on Saturday morning tide.
Rest of team assemble Saturday daytime for first cannon net catch on Sunday morning.

It is not expected that a catching attempt will be made on every tide.
Last catch mist netting Friday evening (Gedney and Lincs); Departure Saturday.

November 10–11 Saturday / Sunday Resighting one or both morning tides.  Mist netting possible Saturday evening.

It is expected that this will be a social trip with some catching.

Costs

A charge is made to cover the cost of food and running expenses including rings. In 2017, prices will be £7 per tide / catching attempt attended (reduced to £3.50 when attending for a single tide and not taking advantage of the food / accommodation or other facilities provided by the group) including the longer visits in August and September. Car drivers are reimbursed by the group for fuel used whilst ferrying people and equipment about. Families are welcome to bring children and charges for children are by negotiation.
